There’s a lot to be said for
stellar skin care!
This time, and unlike with the
Philip Thomas Roth Retinol Fusion PM Eye Cream I talked about recently, I did my
homework on the ingredients, and I love everything about NUDE’s ProGenius Firming Youth Oil!
Made with fruit oils such as
passion fruit seed oil, antioxidant rich Acai, Omegas 3,5,6,7 and 9, along with
wild card ingredients like peacock’s tail algae, there are so many good natural
ingredients and antioxidants packaged in this oil! Seriously, what is peacock’s
tail algae anyway?
Considering the potent blend of
omegas, the good and healthy kinds of fatty acids, this oil is suggested for dry
skin types but I disagree. I have oily skin, yet oils help restore balance and
regulate my problem areas, and this one especially works beautifully with the
rest of my skin care. It’s “dry” in consistency and is entirely non-sticky, and
doesn’t leave a residue! What’s not to love?
Ingredients: Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Aleurites
Moluccanus Seed Oil, Shea Butter Ethyl Esters, Crambe Abyssinica Seed Oil,
Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Rosa Canina Seed Oil, Limnanthes
Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Linum Usitatissimum (Linseed)
Seed Oil, Calophyllum Inophyllum Seed Oil, Canola Oil, Passiflora Incarnata
(Passionfruit) Seed Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Padina Pavonica
Thallus Extract, Opuntia Ficus Indica Fruit Extract, Hippophae Rhamnoides Oil,
Punica Granatum Seed Oil, Euterpe Oleracea Sterols, Nigella Sativa Seed Oil,
Pelargonium Graveolens Oil, Squalene, Tocopherol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Linoleic
Acid, Oleic Acid, Linolenic Acid, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf
Extract, Beta-Sitosterol, Phytosteryl Canola Glycerides, Fragrance, Benzyl
Salicylate, Citral, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool
Aside from standard anti-ageing
ingredients in skin care, like retinol, I rely on antioxidant rich oils as an
addition to my skin care because antioxidants help prevent free radical damage,
that ultimately harms skin cells. We’re exposed to fumes, smoke, and
environmental factors in the atmosphere every day, that preventative products
have become part of skin care routines of people barely into their twenties,
and it’s crazy!
I’ve used the ProGenius Firming
Youth Oil three to four times per week for the last five months, and the
difference it’s made to my skin is incredible! My complexion is more even, my
skin looks and feels better hydrated, and because of that my fine lines aren’t
as noticeable. It also makes me glow quite beautifully!
Just don’t make the mistake I
made of using oils alone, because that’s the reason I ultimately ended up
feeling extremely dehydrated and had to reach for hyaluronic acid as I
mentioned a few weeks ago here. Used on its own every now and again won’t do
you any harm, but all skin types still need hydration with emollient rich
creams.
At £72, it’s expensive. But it’s
almost the same price as the Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil, and the main
differences are that Luna contains retinol and artificial blue dye, and a blend
of potentially sensitising fragrant oils, whereas NUDE’s ProGenius contains
more antioxidants, and potentially sensitising ingredients in limonene and
linalool, and doesn’t contain retinol.
Which would you choose?
Im looking to start using more oils as frequent as I can and this one looks great must give it a try.

It's the best oil I've tried, and I've gone through so many!
DeleteThis sounds amazing! I never use oils since im always scared it will make my skin worse since im pretty oily already. I think I need to face my fear and give it a go!

I'm pretty oily as well, but I use oils as an addition to super hydrating moisturisers.
DeleteThey really do help restore balance, but you have to be careful what you use.
This sounds amazing! I must have this!!
