I’ve finally torn myself away
from the Winter essentials I shared a few months ago.
After over a year, I’m back with
REN’s Rosa Centifolia Hot Cloth Cleanser. Although I love using oils for my
morning cleanse, especially the Superfacialist Vitamin C+ Skin Renewing Cleansing Oil, I needed a change.
I stay far away from foaming
cleansers that strip my skin and send my oiliness into overdrive, so the creamy
texture of this REN cream is perfect. Coupled with the gentle exfoliation of a
damp hot cloth, and it’s the perfect kick-start to my morning.
My love of peach and rust hues is
still going strong, and BECCA’s Songbird Mineral Blush is my latest obsession.
It’s typical BECCA! Pigmented, even, buttery, and long lasting. What’s not to
love?
I’ve been a Morphe sceptic for
ages. The less than flattering online images don’t do Morphe any favours, and
in my opinion, some of the brushes look cheap. I bought the Morphe E49 on a
whim, and was pleasantly surprised.
The brush is rather weighty and
sturdy, the same way Sigma brushes have a certain weight to them, and I much
prefer that. The synthetic fibres are curious, but they pick up powder and
disperse product well. Better yet, brush is the perfect size to use with my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit!
Lastly, I braved Lush on a busy
Saturday afternoon for Brazened Honey. I haven’t used this mask in years, and I
forgot how lovely and bright it makes my skin. Plus, I love the cooling effect
when I first apply it!
This is a pretty tame line-up,
but hey! What were your favourites in April?
I loooove Songbird - it looks so beautiful for Summer with a bronzed makeup look :)
